Time for Tofu

Grumpy isn’t around for dinner tonight so I made something I’ve been wanting to try for a while now. I’m sure there are some of you out there who will understand what I am about to say. Sometimes I really get a craving for tofu. I’m not sure what it is about it, but I really love tofu – when it is prepared right! My friend Carrie of Vegan Deliciousness makes a lot of tofu dishes. Everytime I see the dish I crave her meal!

Then one day, while browsing on Tastepostting I came across a tofu dish by Veggie Belly for Sticky Orange Tofu Thins (Click for recipe) that made me want it and want it now! So, I bought the tofu and my first opportunity (which was today) I had, I made it. I’m a pig. I ate the whole thing. Not all in one sitting, but throughout the whole afternoon. It was that good. I also ate a couple of cookies I made. Yes, I have been feeling blue today. So I have been comforting myself. Thanks Veggie Belly!

I’ve never had tofu before. Your meal looks delicious, though!

Sorry you’ve been feeling blue lately. I hope the cookies helped… that always seems to work for me! :)

I’ve never tried Tofu – I think it’s the name and texture that holds me back. Maybe someday, I’ll dip my toes in the water and give it a try.

I adore tofu and only get to eat it when Phil isn’t here. He’s off on a business trip this afternoon…so I think that I’ll be making my favorite tofu dish. Thanks for reminding me!

We eat tofu all the time but it is usually cooked the easiest (and laziest way)..dumped into a clear chicken soup! This looks way too delicious not to try it out.
