Blood oranges are a rare find in my area. SO, when I saw that Super Wal-mart had them by the bagful, well of course I didn't walk away without a bag!My next item on my list of things to do after I bought the oranges was to find something to do with them.

I found a blog post on Cast Sugar for this Blood Orange Tart - so I got busy and made my tart! Nemmie also gave a link for Salted Caramel Sauce. At first I thought I wouldn't bother with the caramel sauce, then I decided why not! I am so glad I made it although I have to admit it is addicting and you can eat it easily by the spoonfuls! The caramel is a perfect accent to the slightly "tart" tart!

For the tart recipe, please check out Nemmie's blog and click here for the Salted Caramel Sauce. I promise you, you will not be sorry you did!
This sounds yummy! They always have blood oranges at this Asian market we go to. I'll have to pick some up and try this.
