I received my Made with Love spice blends....and have been using them ever since. The first thing I made was the shrimp pictured here. I fell in love. So much so, we had to have this grilled shrimp two nights in a row. This is week 3 of the Made with Love Giveaway that I am co-hosting with Val of More than Burnt Toast. If you haven't entered yet, then you need to do so this week!!
When Val told me how good these spice blends were I took her word for it. Then after trying them myself, I know her word is more than true! They are so fabulous that even Grumpy took it upon himself to use the marinade on some venison steaks! Yes, Grumpy who never cooks, marinated meat for dinner before I even got home from work. That is saying a lot for this product! So far I have tried 4 of the different blends and have been happy with all my results!
If you are looking for quick and easy, you will have it. All you need to do is make sure you have some marinade made ahead of time (It takes a couple of hours for the spice blends to meld). The recipe for the marinade came right off the back of the Red Pepper Spice Blend. :-) I marinaded the shrimp for about 20 minutes then grilled to perfection. I even loved the marinade so much that I dipped the cooked shrimp in more of it as I was eating. Yummy!
Made with Love Red Pepper Spice Blend Marinade
2 Tablespoons MWL Red Pepper Spice Blend
3/4 cup Olive Oil
1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
Blend all ingredients together well. Let sit for at least two hours for flavors to blend. Marinade shrimp up to 10-20 minutes then grill on medium heat until pink. Enjoy with a side of marinade if you wish!

Grumpy's cooking! The shrimp look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Ok, Grumpys not cooking...he was just marinating...however he did grill those venison steaks. I usually leave venison to him so I don't mess it up and give him a reason to grouch.
ReplyDeleteTerrific photos! This shrimp is just mouthwatering good! I have been craving shrimp lately. I must have some soon!
ReplyDeleteOoh, look at those shrimps! Yummm.
ReplyDeleteThis has been so much fun to come up with recipes using the spice blends. Thanks "partna". Hugs
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have a set of those spice blends, I love using spice blends in marinades because it gives food a whole new flavor!
ReplyDeleteWow that shrimp photo is the bomb, and I would love some of those spices, love their bottles too...I can only imagine how great it taste!
ReplyDeleteIf Grumpy is in the kitchen...I must know more!
ReplyDeleteIf Grumpy is anything like MY husband, it is not easy to get him anywhere near food preparation...so this must mean that your marinade must be very good!
ReplyDeleteYou know how much I love shrimp and that photo just wants me to pick it up and eat it. Looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your shrimp look incredible. I'm starving waiting for dinner which isn't going to cut it now that I've seen your shrimp. Darn.

ReplyDeleteThe spice blends are wonderful and these shrimp are perfect! So wonderful with some crisp greens.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I love spice blends but find that they're often too expensive to splurge on, so winning some would be heavenly.
ReplyDeleteHoneyB, that shrimp is just magnificent. You are inspiring me to swallow my fear of cooking shrimp and try it!
