Its time for the Family Recipes round-up. First off, I want to welcome Lynda of Lynda's Recipe Box. Lynda has agreed to be a host for our event and she will host for the month of December! The deadline will be the end of the month and your submissions should be sent to Lynda. More information on submission guidelines can be found by clicking here.
Thank you to all of you who participated. It makes me happy to know there are people out there with the same heart and feeling towards family recipes and memories! To those of you who had recipes and memories of the past and to those of you who are creating new memories and starting new traditions with new recipes I am so glad you submitted your blog posts and recipes!

Our first recipe is from Allison of the Neon Celery Kitchen. Allison made cottage pie, a recipe that her mom would make when she was growing up. Check out Allison's blog to read of the many changes this pie made over the years and the memories and thoughts evoked by making her recipe.
Patsy of Family, Friends and Food submitted her Mom's Hot Rolls. These rolls are something that Patsy's family couldn't wait to "dig into" on Thanksgiving. She said it is a good recipe for the "yeast challenged" to try.

My Mother's Chicken Pot Pie
Lynda of Lynda's Recipe Box made her Mother's Chicken Pot Pie. This was one of Lynda's favorite meals as a child. Her mom usually made it with chicken but would make it with turkey from Thanksgiving leftovers. Lynda put together the recipe as her mom never really followed one when she made the dish.

Pumpkin Chocolate Cookies

Easy Chocolate Cake

Pumpkin Chocolate Cookies
Barbara of Barbara Bakes made her sister's Pumpkin Chocolate Cookies. Barbara called her sister and asked her if she could submit this recipe to our event. I am glad she did because as those of you who read this on a regular basis....you know I love pumpkin!

Easy Chocolate Cake
Alex of Eating Adelaide made Easy Chocolate Cake. The recipe came from a friend of her Grandmother and this cake is the first cake Alex has ever made "on her own".

Cinnamon Rolls
I hope you enjoyed our round up. Make sure to check out Lynda's blog next month for her round up and I hope you will join in!

Cinnamon Rolls
Ingrid of 3B's...Baseball, Baking, and Books started a new tradition with Cinnamon Rolls. Ingrid was feeling "yeast challenged" herself and was excited to have found a recipe for Cinnamon Rolls on our blogging friend Collen's blog and the bonus to Colleen's recipe was that it had no yeast!

The Spiced Life Family Sweet Rolls

The Spiced Life Family Sweet Rolls
Laura of The Spiced Life made mad The Spiced Life Family Sweet Rolls.
I myself got inspired to make 2 different family recipes this month. My first dish was inspired by my trip to visit my aunt where we photographed all of my Grandmother's recipes. My 2nd dish is an appetizer that my brother brought to Christmas dinner in 2005 and my mom and brother continue to make. It is also one I will continue to make because it is so delicious! See the photos with links to the recipes below.
