Grumpy and I have been following the South Beach Diet for the last week. We did this before we got married and it worked pretty well for us. Lately we both have felt like it was time to get rid of the excess baggage we had collected over the last year. So, to inspire me, I started searching through Kalyn’s Kitchen and bookmarking recipes that I wanted to try. Kalyn has an abundant number of South Beach Diet friendly recipes on her site!
As soon as I saw the recipe for Hamburger Kebabs I knew I would be making it. I am always looking for recipes that use ground meat – so I can substitute the ground venison we have in our freezer for the ground meat in the recipe!
In Kalyn’s post she said the next time she made this recipe she would use her food processor to make sure all the ingredients were well incorporated – so I used my food processor. I was a little wary at first about the pine-nuts (or any nut) in this recipe but I put them in anyway.
