Grilled Marinated Venison Tenderloin - and a camera giveaway!

I have a very special post for you all today! I felt with it being a Father's Day giveaway, I really needed to make a "manly" recipe.  None of that frilly pasta stuff and none of those skillet meals.  I decided that what I needed to do was grill.  Now, if you know me, I'm not big on grilling much myself unless its something like shrimp.  I've had a few grilling ventures however that turned out amazing so I knew I could do it.  My only problem was I had to tell Grumpy that I was doing the cooking of the Venison.  Grumpy likes me to leave the venison cooking to him.  Probably the only thing he expects to cook!
Surprisingly, he had no qualms about letting me be the griller for this meal.  I was actually quite surprised.  The meal turned out awesome!  I grilled a tenderloin from a buck that Grumpy got on one of his hunting excursions last year and it was super duper tender!  I also grilled some Baby Bok Choy that I received from Frieda's Produce.  I'll share the recipe for the venison in this post and the one for the Baby Bok Choy in the very near future.

Grilled Marinated Venison Tenderloins

Grilled Marinated Venison Tenderloins
If venison tenderloin is not readily available to you, this marinade would also work really well on chicken, beef, or pork. Give it a try!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Balsalmic Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. If using venison, trim meat of any silverskin and cut into 3/4" steaks.
  2. Mix marinade in glass measuring cup and stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Place meat in a ziploc bag and pour marinade over top. Seal and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
  4. Pre-heat grill on high for 10 minutes. When grill is hot, place the tenderloins on the grill and immediately turn the heat down to medium high.
  5. Grill for 3 minutes on each side. This should give you a medium rare piece of meat and the most melt in your mouth tender tasty grilled venison tenderloin!
Yield: marinates up to 3 pounds of meat
Prep Time: 00 hrs. 10 mins.
Cook time: 00 hrs. 06 mins.
Total time: 16 mins.
