Welcome to Day 4 of Ice Cream Week 2014! This year the event is hosted by Kim of Cravings of a Lunatic and Susan of The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen. We have teamed up with 25 amazing bloggers to make satisfy all your Ice Cream Cravings.
These were so simple and so delicious! You can use any flavor ice cream to make these sandwiches. I happened to choose Blue Bunny’s Sweet Freedom Banana Split Ice Cream which is one of Grumpy’s favs. Quick and easy, you can have dessert ready in about 15 minutes prep and 45 minutes total freeze time! These are an excellent mini food for your party, just 3 bites (if your me) or 1 bite (if your Grumpy) and your dessert is done
Banana Split Finger Sandwiches
- 12 tablespoons of your favorite ice cream
- 24 lady fingers
- chocolate magic shell
- pecans and/or sprinkles
- Spoon 1 tablespoon of ice cream over bottom layer of lady finger.
- Cover with another lady finger. Place in freezer for about 15 minutes.
- Place some magic shell in a juice glass. Remove Lady Fingers from freezer and dip half of the sandwich in the chocolate shell.
- Place on foil lined tray. Sprinkle with nuts and/or sprinkles. Return to freezer for at least 30 minutes.
Yield: 12 mini sandwiches
Prep Time: 00 hrs. 15 mins.
Freeze time: 00 hrs. 45 mins.
Total time: 60 mins.
