A lovely view and such wonderful memories - thank you for sharing! My favorite view is from our bedroom window when I can look out over the backyard and see the birds at the feeder and the occasional deer, coyote, or wild turkey amble by.

I've got a LOT of rhubarb that need to be pulled and this dessert is just the recipe to get me going!

I enjoyed reading about your grandmother! How sweet that you would go over and eat breakfast with her!

I used to visit my grandma in the summertime and we would get up early before anyone else and she would make me a mug of warm milk and we would chat at the kitchen table. :0)

What a great view you have! Your story about your granny touched me deeply. My own grandmother passed away in January of this year and I know that years down, I will still be missing her like you miss yours.

It's great though, how we can still honor their memory by recreating the treats they used to make for us.

that is a great view you have! It is true that food tend to remind us of our families and friends. I know there are certain dishes that remind me of my family, it always puts a smile on my face.
