Waffle Pretzels: I used Snyder's square waffle pretzels, be sure to use salty pretzels for the sweet and salty flavor combinatiion.
Orange Candy Melts: I use wilton brand, you want a candy that will melt smoothly.
Candy Eyes: I love to use these to top the pretzels once they have been dipped into the candy melts.
Ghost and Candy Corn Toppers: great for topping chocolate dipped pretzels, or just to toss into the monster munch!
Corn Chex cereal: this is my preference, but you can also use wheat or rice chex.
Vanilla flavored chips: to coat the chex cereal
Coconut oil: used to loosen up the vanilla chips when melting, making it easier to coat the cereal.
Powdered Sugar: is tossed on the candy coated chex cereal to prevent sticking.
Goldfish Crackers: my preference is the cheddar flavor, but use whatever flavor you think you would like in the snack mix.
Gummy Hands or worms: if you can't find the gummy hands during the Halloween season, use gummy worms in its place.

Creative Halloween Chex Mix Variations
The Classic Candy Corn Blend: instead of gummies, toss in a generous handful of candy corn, candy pumpkins, and Reese's Pieces. This creates a cohesive orange, yellow, and brown color palette.
Popcorn Party: for extra volume and a different crunch, swap half of the Chex cereal for caramel corn or kettle corn.
The Salty Swap: if you aren't a fan of Chex, substitute original bugles or kettle-style potato chips to lean into that salty-sweet profile.

Tips for the Best Chex Mix
Lower the sodium: if you want to keep the salt in check, swap out the standard nuts for unsalted roasted peanuts and cashews.
Custom gift packaging: for a festive touch, portion the mix into small cellophane baggies tied with ribbon before placing in Halloween treat boxes; they make perfect party favors or school treats.
Prevent the sog: ensure your candy coated pretzels and chocolate-covered nuts are completely dry and set before mixing them with the cereal to keep everything perfectly crunchy.

How to Store
Keep your mix in a tightly sealed airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness for up to 2 weeks.
